Ad Aprile parte la terza edizione della rassegna di turismo culturale “Storie e delizie Vesuviane”, inil cui obiettivo è di intensificare l’offerta culturale dell’area costiera Vesuviana. Quest’anno l’iniziativa si presenta al pubblico con tre eventi differenti, organizzati tra la primavera e l’estate.
Il primo evento previsto per aprile sarà ispirato alla figura di Amedeo Maiuri e verrà ambientato tra gli Scavi di Ercolano e la dimora Liberty Villa Maiuri, il secondo a maggio animerà un percorso naturale e suggestivo del Vesuvio, a giugno la manifestazione si chiuderà con uno speciale evento teatrale, dove gusto e cultura si fonderanno in una serata di gala.

Sabato 16 aprile 2011, a partire dalle ore 16.00. Un itinerario narrato, curioso e affascinante durante il quale la visita allo Scavo archeologico di Ercolano avrà come tema principale la figura di Amedeo Maiuri, vero e proprio mito dell’archeologia del Novecento, famoso per gli scavi di Pompei ed Ercolano – ma anche di Cuma, Velia, Capri, Ischia, Capua. Uomo unico, personaggio singolare, vero e proprio appassionato di antichità, guidato nelle scoperte da un “furioso ardore” e da un’ incredibile intuizione, a lui dobbiamo gran parte degli scavi archeologici delle cittadine vesuviane sepolte secoli fa e ritornate sotto gli occhi meravigliati del mondo.

VESUVIAN STORIES AND DELIGHTS
In April starts the third edition of the annual review about cultural tourism called “Storie e delizie Vesuviane” (Vesuvian Stories and Delights) whose objective is to enhance the cultural offer of the coastal Vesuvius region. This year’s this appointment presents to the public three different events organized in between spring and summer.
The first event scheduled for April will be inspired by the figure of Amedeo Maiuri and will be set among the ruins of Herculaneum and the home Maiuri Liberty Villa, the second in May will spark a natural path and suggestive of Vesuvius, in June, the event will close with a special theatrical event, where taste and culture will merge into a gala event.

Saturday, April 16 2011, from 4 p.m. A fascinating narrated tour, during which the visit to the archaeological excavation of Herculaneum has as main theme the figure of Amedeo Maiuri, a true legend of the archeology of the twentieth century, famous for the ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum – but also of Cuma, Velia, Capri, Ischia, Capua. a particular man with a unique character, a real lover of antiquity. All his discoveries were led by a “mad passion” and an ‘incredible intuition’. To him we owe the discovery of much of the archaeological excavations of the cities around the Vesuvius, buried centuries ago and revealed again to the astonished eyes of the world.
