The temple was dedicated to Augustus’ genius, and therefore to the Emperor himself, Vespasiano (emperor Tito was in power at that moment) The building in itself, is a pretty simple one, a door that leads onto the Forum giving access to a courtyard, which in the middle of which there’s a small 4 columned Tempietto tetrastile. In front of this there is a beautiful marble altar.
